Proud Filipino and Murrawarri composer, rapper, producer and drummer DOBBY has announced his upcoming second album MARSHMALLOW, out 20 June. Along with the announcement is the release of new single and video βGood For Nothingβ. βGood For Nothingβ is an aggressive self-interrogation; an honest look at how shame, ambition and self-worth are shaped long before we realise. Through real-life vignettes, DOBBY forms a mosaic of his own lived conditioning, and explores how intergenerational trauma, racism, and class judgement quietly take root in the inner child. This is the second single to be released from the album, following on from βFIGHT (Kimβs Song)β. Says DOBBY of the single: "We are all our own worst critics, and this song required me to dig vulnerably into my own self-criticism to trace and understand where it originated. I had to look back at my life and pull from these separate but interconnected stories of conditioning. It's an important song for me, and a key piece of context for what's to come."
